The addition of KONG volumes to any facility allows existing panelled walls to immediately pose fresh challenges for the climber as well as generating a renewed interest. Our volumes are straight forward to install and their position can be easily changed. The addition of volumes will instantly add greater variance and interest to a wall, rewarding the climber with an endless supply of new challenges.
We have a collection of standard volumes available to order, see images below for more information. Can’t find what your looking for then get in touch with your idea and a member of team will be able to advise you on how to get your own bespoke volumes
Introducing our new range of volumes. All our volumes are produced in house at our workshop in the heart of the Lake District from ethically sourced 18mm birch ply. These start life with our designers who draw up computer models inspired by the latest in modern design.
Once the designs have been tweaked to perfection, they are sent to be precision cut on our CNC machine and then constructed with hidden fixings by our experienced team of technicians.
The volume then receives 2 separate coats of texture. We would describe the typical texture of our volumes as an excellent mix between durability and enjoyability. It is rough enough to handle the rigors of a climbing wall while being kind on the skin. All our volumes are painted with one coat of PU paint which is some of the most durable on the market while still maintaining excellent texture.
We use high quality zinc plated t-nuts in all of our volumes which are secured into each site with 2 screws. These are guaranteed for durability and security.
Several standard colours are available. As well as this we usually have a great deal of additional colours available on request . For large orders we can apply virtually any colour and art work you can think of!
All of our volumes are constructed with durable metal inserts in each of the fixing points. This ensures the increased lifespan of the volume when removing and re fixing it. Volumes without metal inserts are liable to suffer damage to the wood which can then render the volume itself useless.
